A survey from Nintendo-client GFK emerged online, which Liam Robertson leaked via Twitter. It contains details of the upcoming console, ranging from features to capabilities.

— Liam Robertson (@Doctor_Cupcakes) January 20, 2016 It’s a bit hard to read, so here’s the bullet points:

Exclusive game franchises featuring Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and more Connect with other Nintendo players around the world via the Nintendo Network Gameplay flows between Nintendo NX console and Nintendo NX handheld device Earn and share gaming achievements, triumphs, and defeats with your gaming friends and the Nintendo gaming community Surf the Web or make video calls on your TV Support 4K/60fps streaming Gameplay graphics at 900p/60fps

While other features are available in Nintendo’s rival gaming consoles, the NX stands out with its 4K TV streaming capability at 60 FPS, the second is the 900p / 60 FPS target gameplay target. Other details show that the Nintendo NX box would contain an HDMI cable. Going by the 60 FPS/900p configuration, Nintendo NX will most probably have HDMI 2.0 capability. Another feature which could offer serious competition to its rivals is that Nintendo NX will work with other devices including smartphones, PCs and consoles such as the PS4 and Xbox One. This was confirmed by Takashi Mochizuki of The Wall Street Journal.

— Takashi Mochizuki (@mochi_wsj) January 20, 2016 Nintendo NX is most likely to offer free online service to users. Twitter user Emily Rogers posted the continuation of the leaked GFK survey in three parts, revealing a possible free online service with the option to subscribe with a monthly or annual fee. The survey notes that gamers with subscription could get as many as 150 games once the service is live. Down the line, the subscription service will add a new game every six months or so. For gaming controller, Nintendo’s patent titled “Game Apparatus and Information Processing Apparatus” hints at how the controller for the NX could look like. It’ll apparently sport a large front display along with a touch panel and two sticks. While the above information is based on a leak, Nintendo NX has a bit of everything a gamer could wish for. The most awaited gaming console of the year may live upto the hype after all.
